Did you know that there are dozens of islands in Florida? The biggest and definitely the most attractive one is Marco Island, at least for home buyers and investors.

Marco Island is located just off the coast of the southwest Florida. If you have ever visited this popular tourist destination, then you know how beautiful the beaches are. While Marco Island is secluded and removed from the busier and more modernized parts of Florida, the urbanisation plans have made Marco Island real estates the most wanted properties on the market.

If you are interested in buying or investing in Marco Island real estate, you would be surprised to know that it is not one big community. It may looks so at the first glance, but in fact Marco Island has several communities, each one with its own unique flavor and personality.

Anglers Cove

Anglers Cove is one of the most popular communities on the beautiful Marco Island. It is located on the Marco river in the Gulf of Mexico. The majority of real estate in Anglers Cove is found in its condominium complex that sits on thirteen acres of the land.

The condominium consists of twelve five story buildings. The units in these buildings have either one or two bedroom units. Since the Anglers Cove is located on the northern side of the island, its residents are very close to beautiful beaches and also have quick access to everything Marco Island has to offer. If you are into golf, you will be happy to know that calming golf courses of the Florida Everglades are just a short drive away.

All in all, Anglers Cove is a family-friendly community and the management is focused on maintaining high quality properties.

Cape Marco

If you were looking for a fabulous gated community and a beachfront condo, Cape Marco should be on the top of your list. It is a gated community consisting of six fabulous condominiums. Many architects claim that the buildings in this community are top-notch and definitely the best beach houses out there.

The buildings are definitely huge and luxurious, and their names reflect their looks. Each of the buildings has its own amazing personality:

  • Belize – Considered to be a flagship of Cape Marco, Belize offers magnificent views on the Gulf of Mexico, Caxambas Pass and Ten Thousand Islands.
  • Cozumel – This building offers breathtaking views of the Marco Beach.
  • Veracruz – With beautiful artwork in its lobby and the view it offers to its residents, Veracruz is at the top of even the most demanding real estate buyers’ lists.
  • Tampico – This is an amazing beach condo. It is the northernmost building in the complex and it gained popularity after John Boehner purchased a unit right in this building.
  • Merida – The value of this building comes from the spectacular views it offers to its residents. Originally it was not a part of Cape Marco, but after it was built its gorgeous looks and all the things it has to offer got it accepted into the community.
  • Monterrey – With a magnificent view on the Gulf of Mexico, unit owners in Monterrey are able to see dolphins and ospreys, and beautiful boats cruising by.

Olde Marco

Olde Marco is a community located on the norther part of the Marco Island. It is connected with the rest of the island by the Bald Eagle Road. If you are among those people who have visited Marco Island as tourists and enjoyed a waterfront dinner at the Snook Inn, then you have already visited Olde Marco.

Olde Marco is a quiet and nice place to live in. Its residents can choose from many restaurants nearby and the town center is very close. If you are interested in a waterfront condo in Olde Marco you should know that some of them have view of Isles of Capri. However, if you are looking for a home that is not on a water direct lot, you are knocking on the wrong door, as Olde Marco homes are all placed on these type of lots.

Olde Marco is one of two original settlements on Island Marco. While there are no beach condos in this community, there is an abundance of waterfront and boating ones. If you want to experience this community, make sure not to miss the quaint cafes and shops in the area. They capture the essence of this old settlement.

South Seas Club Condo

South Seas Club is another gated community on the Marco Island. The gate is manned 24/7. Unlike the Olde Marco one, this one includes beachfront condos along with the waterfront and boat ones. In fact this is the only community on the Marco Island that features beach houses and boat docks.

South Seas offers you both high-rise and mid-rise condos. The high-rise ones are located at the north end of the beach while the mid-rise ones are on Clam Bay.

If you are a passionate boater you will have the access to boat docks, where you can either rent or purchase your parking spot. The South Seas community is very close to great dining and breakfast restaurants, where you will be able to meet your new neighbours.

If you are interested in investing in Marco Island real estate, South Seas is a great community to do so. Simply because of the minimum rental period. Condos throughout Marco Island have a minimum rental period of 30 days, while the ones in South Seas Towers 3 and 4 are only 7 days. This will allow you to rent consistently through every season of the year.
